Biography
I started dancing at the age of 6 in St.Petersburg, Russia. I studied ballet and National Russian dance for over 6 years. Then there was a break when I was mostly studying. I graduated from St.Petersburg state university, the faculty of Slavic languages and got my Masters degree in Linguistic and Literature. After that I moved to the Czech Republic where I started to dance again From the very first belly dance lesson in 2000 I became fascinated by this art form and I have been studying ever since. I started teaching dancing and performing after half a year of learning oriental dance as there was a huge interest in this art form at that time and I was full of enthusiasm . In 2002 I became a co-founder of oriental dancing studio Farha where I have been teaching up till now.
I had a lot of performances in numerous premises including theatres, hotels, restaurants, in the Czech Republic. Teaching dancing motivated me to explore and study everything which was connected with the oriental dance world. I took many lessons and workshops. My teachers were experienced , well educated and belonged to the best in the field : prof.Hassan Khalil, Shahrazad, Magdy El Leisy, Aziza, Leyla Jouvana, Beata and Horacio Cifuentes, Robin Friend, Sabuha Shanaz, Schahlo, Maria Shazadi, Bahara, Ava Fleming, Sharon Kihara, Dilana Meera. I studied Arabic to better understand the true nature of the culture. In 2008 I completed a 2 year course with prof. Hassan Khalil and became a certified teacher of Oriental/Middle Eastern Dance and Egyptian folklore. While studing oriental dance I enjoy dancing other styles such as Russian gypsy dance, flamenco, bollywood. In 2007 I won the 1st place in the category of folklore with my Russian Gypsy dance Ay Romale at the 15th bellydance festival organized by Leyla Jouvana in Duisburg, Germany and I performed this dance at gala show.
I am also interested in fusion of oriental dance with flamenco, gypsy, tribal, indian dance and creating a unique blend of forms.
At present time I teach oriental and oriental fusion dance in the studio Farha, which I co-own ( www.farha.cz). I perform in theaters, festivals and for private events as well as travel and obtain dancing experience in different countries. Besides teaching and performing I organize dancing events for my students.
2009
Several important events in my dancing career happened this year. I met a wonderful dancer and an excellent teacher Nour (Russia/Egypt)whose style of dancing I admire and I started taking classes with her. Thanks to her guidance I have won the video competition held during Let's dance festival in Prague and I won the first place in the category Raks Sharki at the bellydance festival in Copenhagen.
In summer I became a certified pilates and fitness instructor.
And I joined the International Dance Council CID.
Besides dancing I like studying languages, travelling, designing my costumes, studying all aspects of fitness and well-being, meeting other great dancers and sharing experience with them.
