Biography
Warda is a Russian born bellydancer, choreographer and instructor of oriental dance. She got into oriental dance by accident as she has never planned to dance professionally even though in her childhood she had attended ballet classes for a long time.After finishing secondary school she entered State St.Petersburg University, faculty of linguistics and Slavic languages and graduated with honours.In 2000 Warda attended her first bellydance lesson and immediately was captivated by the beauty, femininity and mystique of oriental movements. She started teaching dancing in 2002 and in 2003 became a co-founder and co-owner of oriental dance studio Farha in Ceske Budejovice, Czech republic.In 2006 she took on a two year course for teachers of Oriental dance and Egyptian folklore with professor Hassan Khalil. She successfully completed the course, passed her final exam and obtained the certificate in 2008.Since 2007 Warda has been intensively travelling throughout Europe attending festivals, studying with the best teachers and competing.Among her awards are1st place in the category of folklore and the 4th place in the category oriental fantasy in the competition ' Bellydancer of the world ' in 2007 and 2008 in Duisburg, Germany 1st place in the category raks sharki at the festival in Copenhagen, Denmark in 20094th place in the competition 'Miss Bellydance Europe' in Berlin, Germany in 20101st place in the competion 'Bellydancer of 2010' in Linz, Austria3rd place in the professional competition during the bellydance festival in Stockholm, Sweden in 20102nd place in the professional competition during the oriental passion festival in Athens, Greece in 2010In 2009 Warda started teaching international workshops and has already taught in London, Stockholm, St.Petersburg and Linz.Her style of dancing is influenced in the first place by Nour (Egypt/Russia) who she is studying intensively with. She is also inspired by the pioneers of oriental dance such as Samia Gamal, Tahia Carioka, Sohair Saki and by modern stars like Aziza, Saida, Khaled Mahmoud, Magdy el Leisy and others.Her main styles of dancing is raks sharki, modern oriental dance and oriental fusion such as arabic flamenco, samba oriental and indian fusion.She is also working in Egyptian folklore and bollywood.She is an excellent and acclaimed choreographer and performer of Russian Gypsy dance.
